Resident Vehicles
Vehicles
are to be parked in assigned areas only. You may unload from your vehicle at
a convenient exit with the assistance of staff but are requested to properly park the vehicle as soon as possible after unloading. Special handicapped parking is available for those residents requiring specialized
spaces with possession of the handicapped placard or tag. All residents parking
vehicles on the campus are expected to have a current valid driver’s license and capable of driving in a manner that
does not endanger the health and safety of the driver or others.
The center
cannot be responsible for residents riding with residents. We will, in the interest
of safety, encourage any resident who drives to communicate with any family member who is responsible for or sponsoring a
resident before they travel with the fellow resident.
Mobility Devices
Residents
using assistive devices such as walkers, canes, wheelchairs, etc. are to keep such devices safely out of the pathway of other
residents. Should any assistance be required with the use of these devices, please
contact your resident assistant. Never attempt to ambulate without your assistive
device, if your doctor has ordered it for continuous use
If using
motorized scooters, the following is required:
- proof of insurance
- physician approval for safety
- demonstration of continuous safe operation that does not present a danger to others
Tips and Gratuities
At Kemp Meadows
Assisted Living Center we pride ourselves on the professional demeanor and skill of our staff.
Our staff members are compensated equitable wages per industry standards. Extra
“tipping”, gifts, or rewards are not necessary for service.
Seasonal gifts as the resident wishes are a right of the resident,
however, your sincere “Thank You” or kind words of appreciation are recognition enough.
